ESLHO organized an SWG session

This year ESLHO (Specialized Working Group of EHA) was again present at the EHA2025 Congress in Milan. In addition to hosting a booth at the Collaboration Plaza, ESLHO organized a Specialized Working Group session, chaired by EuroMRD Chair, Prof. Dr. Monika Brüggemann.

The session focused on EQA (External Quality Assessment) and the IVDR (In Vitro Diagnostic Regulation): two key areas in which ESLHO is actively engaged.

The program featured four insightful lectures:

• Prof. Dr. Florent Vanstapel (IVDR expert) discussed in-house diagnostic devices under the IVDR and ISO 15189.
• Dr. Paula Gameiro (Lead EQA program of EuroClonality) shared her learnings from EQA in molecular clonality diagnostics.
• Prof. Dr. Tomas Kalina (Lead EQA program of EuroFlow) offered his perspective from the field of flow cytometry.
• Prof. Dr. Jacques J.M.van Dongen(chairman of ESLHO) concluded the session by presenting his vision on the role of the ESLHO Consortia in the future of EQA.
