Celebrating the 70th Birthday of Our Chairman Jacques J.M. van Dongen

Today, we celebrate the birthday of Professor Jacques J.M. van Dongen. He turned 70 yesterday, but is still the driving and binding force behind the ESLHO foundation and the consortia EuroFlow, EuroMRD and EuroClonality. We surprised him with some very special gifts. We asked all participating institutes (>100!) to send him a personal birthday card. This resulted in a very diverse and heartwarming collection of cards in all languages, with music, portraits and crafty little artworks. They were presented to him in one big box. A unique gift and a wonderful token of appreciation!
